Complimentary Phone Consultation
It can be complicated to find the right therapist, but it is often critical to the success of your experience to have a “good fit”. To help with that, a complimentary 10 minute phone consultation will be offered prior to your first session. This can be an opportunity for you to ask questions about therapeutic style or what to expect in your initial sessions. We will also go over logistics so you can feel prepared.

Couples Therapy
Couples therapy is an opportunity to hit the reset button and look at your relationship with new perspectives. With honest clarity, partners can sometimes realize that the assumptions, behaviors and dynamics occurring are harming their relationship. A safe and open space will be offered where you can take the time to invest in your relationship with each other, listen and begin to understand the other’s point of view. Therapeutic tools and resources will be provided to help partners increase understanding, foster healthier communication, and ultimately build a more fulfilling relationship. Alison is trained in Gottman Method- Level 1 and incorporates this method into couples sessions.
In addition to traditional couples therapy, Alison offers Gottman Intensives for couples seeking to dive intentionally and deep into their therapy work. This typically involves an in-depth relationship assessment that will identify core issues and areas of dysfunction to address. Couples will then participate in a 2-3 hour intensive session that teaches Gottman principles and skills for improving their relationship.
